Freedom Suzuki PONY-EXPRESS 1 HOUR FUN-RIDE. A great day!

Employing a shorter and easier X-Country track design that accommodated most levels of rider skill, a timed 1 hour ride saw the fastest riders complete each lap in a little over 5 minutes - that's fast going!

To celebrate the last ride of the 2009 season. FREEDOM SUZUKI in conjunction with Taikorea MX Park held a Pony-Express fun event. The easier shorter X-Country track design was aimed at the slightly less serious rider. Participants of the event could ride either solo or in a team.
A few guns also turned up for a ride and ride they did. Cam Smith riding solo on his Suzuki RM450 'from the start' speed off like a rocket with up in coming star Jordan Wilson hot on his heels. As fate would have it... on the very last lap Cam ran out of gas allowing Jordan to snatch the lead.

Even though this was a fun event, laps were counted and the results are published below.

HOW IT WORKED:

Riders in each team rode one lap and tagged their partner whom rode the next. This process was repeated until 1 hour had elapsed.
The objective of the team was to complete as many laps as possible in the timeframe.

Also on display for the serious off-roader was the latest cross-country trail-blazer from SUZUKI:
The RMX450Z.
