The The SandPrix event held at Taikorea was a tribute to Mort Andrews contribution to Motorcycling. A keen rider, club member, former MOMCC president and finally Patron of the club spanning over 50 years.
The Sandprix held at the Taikorea Motorcycle Park (Mort's Park) was aimed at a full spectrum of riders from Mini to Pro. The winner of the Sandprix senior feature race was Daryl Hurly (the man with no number). What better way to run in a brand new 2010 Suzuki RMZ450. Sandprix image Gallery.

The purpose of the park and tracks are to develop riding skill. It's a venue to both foster stars of the future, yet just as importantly... provide a great day out for the family who just want to ride at their own pace for fun.

The video on the left features highlights of the SANDPRIX feature race (on the main track). Directly below that is one of the hotly contested Mini races from the Mini Champs Rnd One (held on the Tailkorea purpose built Mini track on the same day). The Sandprix and Mini MX event was held on 6th September 2009.
